For example, with Gigabit Telus you get 940Mbps down & 940Mbps up while on Gigabit Shaw you get 1Gbps down & 25 Mbps up.Is this a technical issue or is it a choice they're making? I was told this was fine.Also on Tuesday after internet and phone were installed on account A, I renewed my contract on account B and went from internet 600 to gigabit, and was told I could keep both active.A couple of days later, I noticed failover had kicked in and my router was now pulling from internet 15 on account A instead of gigabit on account B.Today I called in and was told that account B was no longer active because the new bulk internet had been installed on account A and had replaced my gigabit on account B.I was told that to get gigabit internet back, I would have to cancel the internet on account A since I could not have two modems. If they don't deal - tell them you need to chat with Telus to get a date set up and you'll come back to chat later to cancel. I'm pretty sure this topic has been discussed often, but I haven't seen it lately. No more having to haggle every 1 / 2 years.I had to go through three attempts but I finally got them to give me Internet 50 for $49/month on a 2 year plan. I'm not thrilled that I didn't get to keep the Internet 300 but I've had no real issues with that level of bandwidth. 1 month ago. They do offer live chat so if you don't want to call in, that would be a good option. Specifically, if I keep an internet plan on account A and B simultaneously, A will cancel out B. Rogers , Cogeco, Shaw , or Bell Cable fees; etc., etc., by (hopefully) getting to the Customer Retention (or the folks who can make deals) group on the phone.
