As my friends and I were strolling through New Orleans, we came across Cafe Amelie and were able to snag a table in their courtyard.
Easily in my top 3 best places we ate in NOLA! Amelie Café in Bergisch Gladbach, reviews by real people. It wasn't…""Okay, so the first time we were here they were out of food. I encourage everyone to support this business, you won't regret it!I gave this place 4/5 stars because my date enjoyed this meal, and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing for my palate. My partner is pretty boujee and picky when it comes to quality shrimp n grits, and these passed his test with high praise. Our cocktails were great!
As an entrée I had the pasta chef's special which was crawfish linguine with creamy garlic sauce! The boat had a mix of passangers, old, young, history buffs and tourists who just wanted…""Cheap and good food. I called around 5:15 Saturday afternoon to place a Togo order for myself and two friends.
That being said I was a little impressed. She was amazing. We sat inside because it was cold outside but probably would have picked outdoors any other time. So, this is our second time dining here. The ciabatta paired perfectly. Based on the reviews I was afraid it would be busy, but it was OK. Got a nice indoor table right away.
If you love spicey food, this is the place for you! This place is a must visit!
The courtyard is unmatched, romantic and down right gorgeous. They make good drinks, but just like every place in New Orleans, they are not cheap.Such a cute outdoors seating in new orleans specififcally the frensh quarter. It is really good! My absolute favorite was the starter we shared, the Bubba Grit Dip. 6 total. We had a few other items that were good, but, for me the pasta and desserts stood out the most. We came to Cafe Amelie on New Years day on a hunt for shrimp and grits.
It was very scenic. Their tartine selection caught my attention the most. It was beautiful and peaceful and just everything I wanted outta New Orleans.
Within walking distance in the French quarter near the French market.
The chef offered me anything else on the menu as well. All were well received:)This place is amazing!
The bartenders were awesome. Very tasty. I booked a reservation through OpenTable but we were able to come earlier and be seated right away. In fact everything was delicious. We absolutely loved Amelie! I'm glad we asked to be seated inside. Café Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.Cafe Amelie is a total hidden gem. It was quite hot & humid, but they have fans aimed at many of the tables which really helps.
Our server was very nice so I appreciated that aspect of the service.Amazing, the highlight of our evening in New Orleans.
Each time I over ate and was miserable because I cant stop. Despite receiving so many strong recommendations, I was sadly underwhelmed by the food here. One of the best pasta I hadd. A big plus is my girlfriend is a…"Café Amelie is known for having one of the most beautiful and romantic courtyards in the Quarter, where patrons can dine al fresco or inside the lovely air-conditioned dining rooms within the historic Carriage House. Loved the olive salad that comes on it...I don't even like olives, but it paired so well with the deli cuts.
It was too dark and cold for us to sit out on the patio, but I definitely recommend eating there during the day so you can enjoy it. We were initially sitting at the bar and a few tables came open. The food is that good! Wow this place is so beautiful. We were one of the last tables before closing so I'm sure everyone had a long day and was waiting for their shift to be over.
