Tried this out, the instant I launched PUBG speedfan broke. SpeedFan 4.44 introduced a new and improved fan control strategy. Several functions may not work. The temp does show up when I use core temp but I am trying to set a fan curve so that is worthless to me.Yeah they all work perfectly.
I don't know whether thats correct or not.Anyway, my PC is a DELL/Alienware Aurora R5 and I'd like to be able to manually adjust the speed of my fans for testing. With Speedfan, when i click on the 'clock' tab my model of motherboard is not listed (it's an asus K8N8X-LA). For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding. It's the Pavillion-h151.
At the moment I just have my fan speed linked to the temps that normally go up with the CPU, but they clearly arent the CPU because they reach 60C when the CPU caps at 45C.
When I boot I am getting "511 CPU fan not detected." If I plugged the CPU fan into the "pump" header, it would run full blast. How about ABit motherboard utility program thing that I think comes on your motherboard CD?I think Abit uses their uGuru chip for health monitoring and other things which SF may not support (at least I didn't see it listed).
I cant figure out why but speedfan does not have a temp for any of my CPU cores. You say it was working, but chances are it was never reading fan speeds or temps correctly in the first place.I'm fairly certain it would. Then set your alarm points, etc. It's the Pavillion-h151.
When i would play games, the temp would rise and when i adjusted the fan speeds, I could hear them getting louder and quieter. Since the fan seems to work okay. So I will replace the fan if someone can tell me where I can get it and what fan I should get.
I wanted to use SpeedFan to test my system fans but unfortunately it doesnt detect any of my fans. This site uses cookies to help personalise content, tailor your experience and to keep you logged in if you register.
The case fan connector is 3 pin, while the cpu fan is 4 pin. But even if I replace the fan I am concerned that will not solve the problem. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding.
I have an Abit AT8 32X motherboard and I find it very peculiar that I can't get the temperature reading for anything except the hard drive.
Oh well.Use the Reset to Defaults option in the software and see if the fans aren't picked up - your fans have to have working speed sensors for the rpm monitoring to work - if you can see the fan speeds in the BIOS on the health page then you should see them in the software. If the data isn't showing up at all then it's likely that the program doesn't support the hardware interface.
Obviously, it appears there is a problem with the fan. Are there any other programs which have manual fan control other than SpeedFan? devices. The temps/fan speeds always matched openhardware too. But even if I replace the fan I am concerned that will not solve the problem.
