The creaminess of the milk used could still be distinctly tasted against the sweetness of the taro, although the light flavour of the green tea was lost.green tea powder, glutinous rice powder, and red beans. So this is only for Ginger lovers. Overall, the drink was refreshing and light on my palate, and we also appreciated how there wasn’t a cloying aftertaste that often follows most sweetened milk teas.. As actual yam was used, the overall drink was pleasantly thick, which is something I would expect of an ingredient as heavy as taro. Seems like it is always bustling. Would stop by again if I'm around.Ten Ren is a tea shop that also sells their teas for a quick one cup tea.
The Thai tea was very sweet, some (i) would say too sweetComing back to New York from vacation, I want something that says home. My all time favorite bubble tea in NYC.

Ended up witnessing a super rude encounter between the cashier and a customer behind me (basically yelling at the lady to move to the other side as "that's where the line starts!"). I did like the fruit drink (I forgot what favor I got back then).
As a bubble tea fanatic I've tried pretty much all bubble tea stores including the typical chains as well as pop up tea places in NYC, and I have to say Ten Ren never goes wrong and still makes consistently great bubble tea. They had several samples in the front and I tried all of them-- they were all great in their own way and after a few minutes of difficult deliberating, I ended up ordering a black sugar slushie (would've tried their milk tea/tapioca but I was still pretty full from brunch), which was just the thing to cool me down.
So amazing.
