Patriotic to the core, Bertoldt and Reiner were tasked, with a very specific mission at a surprisingly young age. A year old forum, but this episode was so good. Outcome 1: Bertholdt squashes Reiner like a fly because he forgot that they were in titan form.
Hange goes over suspicions about Reiner and BertholdtAsking for further information, both Eren and Armin said that while Reiner and Bertholdt claimed to be from the same hometown, the two did not speak with Annie much. - - - - - - - - Simply said, they were fulfilling their mission as Warriors of Marley. :construction: MAYOR SPOILERS WARNING :construction: My first impression of these 2 was like damn these guys look bad ass and imo they have the best character design in the entire show just one tall guy and the muscular dude with blonde hairTheir personality its what I loved the most out of these guys they are like the type of guys you want to hang around with and they saved each other and other people a lotBertholdt is more of like an quiet nervous guy who is loyal to reiner and always follows his childhood friend everywhere they go he is an kindhearted manReiner is more like the opposite of Bertholdt he likes to be loud and lead people and give orders to them and overall he is just ann bad ass characterBut the thing I loved the most about them yep call me crazy is when they destroyed the walls I Allready knew they did it but think about it they were only 11 years old when they did such an dangerous mission and they actually succeeded in doing so at such an young ageAnd after they destroyed the walls they entered the survey corps and passed to become oneBertholdt was ranked 2 and reiner was ranked 3 best of their classBut I think they changed after they grew up with eren, mikasa and the rest because it changed them and actually discovered that the this county weren't all bad people and they had regrets of them doing so because they were forced to do soAs we saw in episode 6 of season 2 reiner actually had regrets of his actions and felt sorry but he had to go and finish the mission because he is an warriorI think they were both brainwashed that they had to kill everyone because they were bad people but actually they discovered they were nice and that broke my heart that they couldn't let it go and they had to finish the job And even tho everyone hated them because of what they did they didn't betray each other they covered each others back from day one and I think even after Bertholdt death reiner still thinks about his best friend who stayed with him till the verry endAnd thats why they are my 2 favorite characters out of the hole seriesHonestly, I really enjoy Reiner and Bertholdt. If he had not heard of the others within the Walls, he claims he would not have become a "half-assed piece of shit." Outcome 2: Reiner misreads him and gives Bertholdt a chest-bump. At Hange's inquiry, Armin realized that Eren's location had only become a matter of discussion during the scouting mission when Reiner asked about him, and Armin realized that while in the Female Titan's grip, Reiner must have carved Eren's true location into Annie's hand.
He hauled you out of the chair and tossed you on the floor, not caring that your shoulder could have shattered from the impact.

Sasha said that Annie often ate alone, though she did have a secret craving for sweets. As he uses his Titan powers to heal himself, he says that he will face the consequences of his actions and stay true to his duty as a Bertholdt panics, asking Reiner if they are really acting now, and Reiner says that the time has come, and moves to capture Eren. Bertholdt's sacrifice for Reiner really hits home knowing how he just wants to die now.
