Downloading data from Digimap for use with AutoCAD Digimap provides some great resources and one of the most useful is the Vector Map Local dataset, which is detailed mapping that can be opened directly in AutoCAD without any translation. If you look carefully at the map, you will see that the tile boundaries are shown so that you can see what is included. Digimap is a fantastic resource that allows students free access to data that would otherwise cost hundreds of pounds. How to download contour data for use in GIS or CAD software: If you want to get the actual contour data to create your own map using GIS or CAD software then you can use the Digimap OS Data Download service to download contour data. Contour data can be found in the ‘Land and Height Data’ section within the OS Data Download service.
