In gaming PC's there is quite a range of components, performance levels and prices. If you're still fixed in the 1080p era or are looking for a machine that will capably handle 1440p for some time to come, the Lynx is a good choice, particularly if you're infatuated with RGB light shows. To continue the Obelisk comparison, the i7-9700K in the Lynx clocks in at 1525 in multicore benchmarking in Cinebench to the Obelisk's 1385, but the Obelisk managed an average 39 FPS in Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 4K Ultra and 89 FPS at QHD Ultra while the Lynx drops backs to 23 FPS and 49 FPS respectively. I suspect it would do the job well at high game I currently run an almost 10-year old Digital Storm 950Si with an i7-920 at 2.65 ghz, 12 GB RAM (purchased with 6), and an eVGA GTX1070 FTW (replaced the original Zotac GTX 285 which died a few years ago). I’m trying to buy a gaming PC that I can run 1080p at ultra settings with 140 FPS preferred on games like fortnite and gears of war but I’m also okay with 120 FPS. All in all, the PC still runs what I play (mainly Overwatch, WoW, the Batman Arkham series, and random other games), but occasionally FPS will drop from 100+ to the teens. For one, the major ventilation areas on the top and bottom of the unit are shielded from dust by filters, a good start towards keeping that glowing interior clean and free of grit.
